Q5. Is it possible to inherit thread veins?

A5. Unfortunately yes. If your parents or grandparents had thread veins (or varicose veins) then there is a strong chance you will do the same.

This also applies to close family members.

Thread veins often run in families so check to see if anyone in your family has experienced these. If they have then this may be passed down to you but it is not set in stone.

In other words you are statistically, more than likely to develop thread veins but this is by no means a given. Just that you have a greater risk of doing so than someone who has no family history of vascular conditions such as this.
