Q15. Does sitting with your legs crossed cause varicose veins?

A15. It is argued that sitting with your legs crossed impedes the circulation in your legs which increases the risk of varicose veins.

If you already have varicose veins then it is a good idea to avoid doing this as it can worsen your symptoms. Try to move your feet around and take breaks whenever you can.
