Q9. Should I have my abortion on the NHS or at a private clinic?

A9. That is entirely your choice. Abortion is usually performed for free on the NHS although you will have to wait. However, the NHS is committed to ensuring that women have their treatment within three weeks of their initial consultation.

If you do not want to wait or want to have an abortion which fits in with your arrangements, e.g. at a weekend then your other option is to go to a private abortion clinic.
