LEVITRA Drug name: Vardenafil Brand name: Levitra Use: Erectile dysfunction (impotence) Levitra is a phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitor. It works by increasing blood into the penis when sexually excited to cause an erection. Dose: 10 mg 30-60 mins before sexual activity. Maximum one dose per 24 hours. Onset of effect may be delayed if taken with high-fat meal. Cautions: - heart disease Contra-indications: - use of nitrates Side effects: The most common side effects include headache, indigestion and facial flushing. Occasional: - indigestion/heartburn Less commonly: - drowsiness Rarely: - Prolonged erection
