Q6. What are symptoms of the menopause?

A6. The menopause consists of a series of biological changes which results in a range of symptoms. These affect the woman both physically and mentally and include:

  • Tiredness
  • Mood swings
  • Night sweats
  • Hot flushes
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Weight gain

These are just some of those symptoms.

Not every woman will experience these and other symptoms. Many women find that they experience some symptoms more than others.

A few lucky women do not experience any symptoms.
