What help is available for women who have had miscarriages?

Having a miscarriage is devastating for most people; when you have a miscarriage, your midwife or doctor will explain what has happened and will ask you if you want to have counselling or help for your bereavement. If you don’t want to speak to your doctor or a counsellor about your situation, you can contact charities including the Miscarriage Association for help, advice and support. You may also find it helpful to chat to other women who have been in a similar situation; many websites that specialise in women’s health and pregnancy have online forums where you can chat to other people, without having to face them.
