If you have tired eyes, then you can now rejuvenate them with a new innovation.

It’s been a long time coming, but for many people who felt their life chances and employment prospects were being affected by having eyes that make them look old, it couldn’t have come sooner.

There is only one thing. The procedure is currently only available in one cosmetic surgery clinic. And that’s in Los Angeles, California. How long it will be before it arrives in Britain is not known.

What’s more, the surgeon carrying out the procedure calls it Invisible Eyelid Surgery. It involves removing the bulges from under the eyelid without leaving a visible scar. Until now this has not been possible. Most operations usually end up leaving what surgeons call a deflated lower eyelid, which in turn show more lines, the very thing that isn’t wanted.

Dr. Krieger’s procedure is called ‘The Rodeo Drive Invisible Eyelid Surgery’, and interestingly does not require any normal scalpel incisions. Instead it involves a procedure called invisible blepharoplasty.

The doctor told local reporters: “The procedure is beneficial because it offers total eye rejuvenation of the upper and lower eyelids, along with removal of lower eyelid fat pads, all done without any skin incision and with healing in about a week.

“My patients are looking for the most cost effective approach to looking younger. For many people, this procedure meets that requirement perfectly.”

The plastic surgeon also collaborates with a dermatologist, Dr. Danneker. He added: “Dr. Danneker and I are pleased to collaborate on this novel combination of procedures. We each provide patients with our core expertise and I think they appreciate this interdisciplinary approach — as well as the results we achieve for them.”

While Dr. Krieger uses his cosmetic surgery skills, Dr. Danneker uses a micro-fractional CO2 resurfacing laser to treat lower eyelid skin.
