NHS Dentistry Gets A Boost-4973

Flagging dentistry in the NHS got a boost recently with a new practice opening, setting up in Chapelgate in Retford. The new practice is on the site of a previous doctor’s surgery.

The new practice is the brain child of three award-winning dentists who were winners of the Yorkshire and Humberside Employer of the Year Award. One of the dentists, Adam Walker told reporters: “We are firmly committed to providing high-quality dental care within the NHS for the people of Retford within a caring and friendly environment.

“We aim to make dentistry a pleasant experience and a fun visit for children.”

The other partners are Michael and Margaret Naylor who said they were looking forward to opening the new practice on the 31st January. It will be called DeNtal22.

The practice said their mission statement is: “Improving oral health for all in the community,” something that Ms Naylor emphasised. She said that accessibility was as important as getting good treatment. As such, the practice intend opening outside of normal office hours, including late-night and Saturday morning appointments.

As well as offering great service to patients, all three dentists believe in proper, extensive training for all dental practice staff. All staff employed at the practice will be highly skilled in the various jobs needed to be done.

Not just that, the practice will be using state-of-the-art equipment which will ensure that patients get the most suitable treatment currently available. Investing in better technology also helps prevent cross-infection and controls hygiene.

Finally, unlike many modern dentists, the new practice aims to be child-friendly. With that in mind, as well as a comfortable waiting area with disabled access, there will also be a children’s play area.
