Are there any ways to prevent miscarriage?

It is not possible to prevent miscarriage and you shouldn’t blame yourself if you do have a miscarriage. There are some steps you can take to reduce the risk of having a miscarriage, including:

  • Stop smoking as soon as you learn that you pregnant
  • Stop drinking alcohol
  • Avoid taking drugs
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Eat healthily and take folic acid supplements
  • Cut down on caffeine and drink plenty of water
