Q9. What type of diet do I need to follow?

A9. Choose a low fat diet. This means having a balance of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals and some fat.

Not all fat is bad. There are ‘good’ fats such as polyunsaturated or monosaturated fats and then there are ‘bad’fats such as saturated fat.

Include a moderate amount of ‘good’ fat in your diet and avoid foods which contain saturated fat.

Use the alli fat and calorie tool (www.alli.co.uk) to find out your daily calorie intake and grams of fat.
