Q8. I use fluoride toothpaste; should I use a fluoride mouthwash as well?
A8. We ingest enough fluoride via toothpaste and drinking water so you shouldn’t need to increase this intake. However, your dentist may advise you to increase your fluoride intake and if so then a mouthwash is a good way of doing so.It is a good idea to use a fluoride mouthwash at a different time to brushing your teeth so that your teeth receive a continuous supply throughout the day.
If you are not sure then speak to your dentist.
