Invisalign Express

This is aimed at those patients who have a mild occlusal problem only such as crowding or spaces between the teeth. As it is designed for minor level problems then it can take around 5 to 6 months to complete rather than the 12 to 18 months with conventional aligners.

It uses the same transparent aligners as the standard Invisalign procedure but the main difference is that fewer aligners are used.

If you combine this with fewer visits to the dentist then you are looking at a vastly reduced treatment process.

What happens is that the orthodontist will fit you with a maximum of 10 aligners. This means less aftercare visits than normal and, it will cost less as well.

Your orthodontist will decide whether you are suitable for this procedure as it is not advisable for every orthodontic problem. To re-iterate: it seems to suit best those patients who require only a small amount of movement or re-positioning.

What are the advantages of this system?

It is a good choice for people who don’t want to commit to the length of time and cost of the normal Invisalign system. If your orthodontic problem is ‘cosmetic’ then this is a good option.

Don’t feel that because this is both quicker and cheaper that it means a reduction in the quality of the service. You will still get the same high level of service, support and aligners as the original Invisalign system.

However, don’t be swayed by cost alone. A cheaper service may sound attractive but please be guided by your orthodontist. This compact service is a professional service but is really only suited to a certain group of patients.

Your orthodontist is still the best person to advise you on which service to have. He or she will be aware of the financial aspects of your decision but will be concerned with what is best for you.

If you are not suitable for this then he/she will recommend the normal Invisalign brace.
