What is the Conductive Keratoplasty - CK procedure?
This starts with the surgeon making a circular template on your eye with rinse away ink. This is painless and is designed to guide the surgeon.
He/she will then use a needle thin probe which emits radio waves onto this circular pattern. This shrinks small sections of the cornea.
This acts in the same way as tightening a belt. It increases the curvature of the eye which improves close up vision. It tends to make the eye slightly short sighted which aids with reading and seeing objects near to in general.
