A9. Laser tattoo removal is very effective and can remove most tattoos but some tattoos respond better than others. This is usually due to the colours in the tattoo as dark colours are more responsive than light colours.

Amateur tattoos and professional ones which consist of a single or two colours, e.g. black/blue respond well to all three lasers. But certain colours respond better to one type of laser than another.

If a tattoo is very deeply embedded under the skin then it may be difficult or impossible to remove.

Your clinic will perform a test patch beforehand to determine how well (or not) your tattoo will respond to treatment.
