A26. Yes but where this differs is in the wavelength used by the laser. IPL uses differing wavelengths whereas Q-switched lasers use one wavelength.

More heat is absorbed than with Q-switched lasers which can increase the risk of skin damage.

It is less painful than treatment with Q-switched lasers although IPL appears to not have the same narrow focus that Q-switched lasers have.
