A2. There are several reasons for this: if you have a relatively new tattoo then this is more difficult to remove because of the density of the colours used. Certain colours such as black, green and brown appear to respond better than red, orange and white.

Professionally done tattoos are injected into a deep layer of the skin called the dermis which is harder to remove and so are tattoos with several colours. Single colour tattoos such as those in black or blue are much easier.

Large tattoos take longer to remove than smaller tattoos.

Skin tone is another factor: tattoos are more difficult to remove from people with dark skins compared to lighter ones.
