Q27. Should I follow a skin care regime?

A27. Yes. Wash your face twice a day to remove any excess grease and dead skin cells but do not overdo this.

Clean your face using a flannel rather than a sponge and use a mild soap and water. Then exfoliate your skin which means removing dead skin cells from the surface. There are products specially designed for this or consider having a chemical peel done. Apply a toner to remove any excess oil and make up. Then apply a good, oil-free moisturiser.

A moisturiser will not result in greasy skin. Even if you have oily skin a moisturiser can still help as it will prevent your skin from drying out. Skin which is too dry is prone to itching or flaking which will further aggravate your acne.
