Plus there is the cost of accommodation, provision of meals, laundry and social activities. Every resident is an individual with individual needs which can include special diets, minor medical needs etc and this have to be taken into account. Many care homes arrange for visits from a hairdresser and/or a physiotherapist. They may also have a visiting GP or other healthcare professional. They may arrange trips out for the residents or concerts, bingo, card evenings etc.
