Hydra Fill

Wrinkles and lines are often seen as the ageing process continues, but these don’t have to be an inevitable part of ageing. These days, there are a variety of filler products available to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. These treatments are not only safe to use, but also quick to work, and demand very little maintenance.

The skin is constantly attacked by a number of environmental, emotional and other factors everyday. Each time you expose yourself to the elements of weather or pollution outside your house, your skin begins to lose its capacity to rejuvenate itself. Besides, there are other factors that can damage your skin over a period of time. For instance, stress can take a toll on your skin, and hormonal changes can also alter its appearance. A combination of these internal and external factors can over time weaken the appearance of the skin.
Any damage leads to a decrease in the amount of elastin, hyaluronic acid and collagen fibers in the dermis. When these components become fewer in number, it weakens the dermis, and affects the appearance of skin.

Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a compound that is found naturally in the skin. It is important for keeping the skin moisturized, and giving it its healthy tone and elasticity. A decrease in the quantity of natural hyaluronic acid quickly leads to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What is Hydrafill ?
Hydra fill is close in composition with natural hyaluronic acid that exists in the skin. When Hydra Fill is introduced into the dermis, it boosts the natural hyaluronic acid. It attracts water molecules, and retains them, keeping the dermis well hydrated. This gives the skin its form and volume. Lines and wrinkles are reduced in appearance, and the border of the lip is filled out and lifted. A smooth and young looking skin is restored.

Treatment with Hydrafill
Your skin care practitioner will first undertake a complete diagnosis of your skin type, as well as the severity of your lines and wrinkles before deciding on a treatment plan that's suited for you. He or she may choose between three Hydra Fill formulations depending on your situation.

Hydra Fill treatment involves injection of the Hydra Fill a few millimeters under the skin surface, using a fine needle. There is very little pain involved, although you may ask for an anesthetic if you need one. You may notice some swelling or redness in the first few hours after the injection. These will disappear on their own. The results of the injection are visible soon after the treatment, and can last up to 9 months. You may need a top up treatment after about 9 months, as the Hydra Fill continues to be absorbed by the body. Hydra Fill is very safe to use, and leaves no side effects.
