Liposelection

This is also known as Laser Lipolysis. It is a new, highly advanced procedure which involves the use of a laser probe or paddle which emits ultrasonic waves. These waves gently dissolve fat cells in those areas you want treated such as the thighs, back, buttocks, abdomen, hips, chin, neck, ‘love handles’ and arms.

The fat cells are ‘liquified’ by these ultrasonic waves and are suctioned out of the body via a series of cannulas.

It is very similar to SmartLipo.

The beauty of this procedure is that it can be carried under a local anaesthetic and results in minimal swelling and bruising. It can be done as a day case and means a quicker recovery time.

Why liposelection rather than liposuction?

Liposelection is less invasive and only removes those fat cells you asked to be removed rather then straying into other areas. In o0ther words it only removes fat cells, leaving connective tissue, blood vessels and nerves undisturbed.

It is gentler than liposuction and the skin is actually tightened rather than cut into. Any scars that do occur are so tiny that you practically can’t see them and are hidden from view.

There is less stress and trauma on the body and recovery time is speeded up. You will also have a smoother and shapelier body following liposelection.

Liposelection can also be performed under a local anaesthetic which makes it doubly attractive.

In terms of cost it tends to cost the same as liposuction. Prices can start from under £2,000 through to £6,000, although this depends on the size and number of areas to be treated.
