Perlane
Perlane is a popular injectable filler that is used for the softening and smoothening of wrinkles and lines. This cosmetic dermal filler is also commonly used to smoothen facial depressions, lip augmentation, as well as to reduce the impact of facial scarring. This filler is produced from non animal stabilized hyaluronic acid gel. Perlane is free from animal products. There is no need to conduct a skin test before using the filler, because hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin.
The hyaluronic acid that is contained in Perlane when introduced through the skin, boosts the natural body supply of hyaluronic acid. The natural supply of this acid may become reduced over a period of time, and injecting Perlane can help to replenish it. Perlane is a biodegradable filler, and so does not have any long lasting effects. You can expect Perlane treatment result to last between 6 months and a year. This gives this treatment longer lasting results, than other collagen injections which may typically last for just up to 6 months.
Perlane can also be used in combination with Botox which helps freeze the muscles that are responsible for generating wrinkles. Perlane does not create a numbing effect in the skin, and doesn’t neutralize muscle, but works to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and facial folds.
Skin care practitioners use Perlane to improve facial skin contours, and to decrease the visibility of facial folds, wrinkles, lines and scars.
