Q18. I play sport: which type of contact lenses should I wear?

A18. Athletes and sportspeople often prefer contact lenses to glasses for a variety of reasons. But this depends upon the type of sport they play.

There are some sports such as swimming or boxing in which contact lenses or glasses are forbidden.

There are many lenses to choose from but before you make this decision consider the following: the type of sport you do; the duration, contact or non-contact; water or non water based and the location/environment.

These will determine the type of contact lens you wear.

Daily disposable lenses are popular but if you participate in overnight events then consider extended or continuous wear lenses.
