What is the Macrolane procedure?

The procedure is quite simple. It involves you being given a local anaesthetic to numb the area to be treated‚ followed by the making of a small incision in that area. The doctor will use a thin tube or cannula to inject the Macrolane gel into the subcutaneous layer (inner layer) of the skin.

You may be prescribed antibiotics either before or after treatment to reduce the risk of an infection.
