Q13. Is it possible to develop thread veins and varicose veins?

A13. Thread veins can occur on their own or in conjunction with varicose veins.

If there is a history of either or both of these then you may develop both thread and varicose veins. Alternately, you may get varicose veins only.

If you are at risk then look at ways of reducing this risk. Our preventing thread veins section contains information about how to do this.
