What is the vaginoplasty - vaginal tightening procedure?

This procedure is often undertaken if exercise fails to tighten weak vagina muscles.

It can take around an hour to complete and is usually performed under a general anaesthetic or a local with sedation. You might have to stay overnight in hospital.

It is a routine gynaecological procedure in which your surgeon will take the stretched muscle at the back of the vagina and will join this together. Any unwanted skin is trimmed. This joining will tighten and tone these muscles and soft tissues as well as reducing any excess lining of the vagina. Any scarring will be inside the vagina.
