Can I have breast capsulectomy surgery on the NHS?

Generally, the NHS will not pay for cosmetic surgery as it considers it to be an ‘elective’ form of surgery: that means it is surgery you have chosen to have done rather than a medical necessity.

If this condition is causing your severe physical and/or mental discomfort then you can always apply to the NHS for help but the chances of them paying for this surgery are slim.
