Is there anyone who is not suitable for a buttock lift?

Various factors are taken into account when assessing a patient’s suitability for this surgery. The most important one is that of your general health. Surgery is safe but does come with a small amount of risk. These risks increase for those individuals with medical conditions such as diabetes or heart problems.

What will exclude you from this surgery is smoking. Smoking can cause problems with wound healing and infection and is known to increase the risk of post-surgery complications.

If you do smoke then you will find that a cosmetic surgeon will advise you to stop at least two weeks before surgery. You will also be asked to wait for two weeks after surgery before starting again.

Ideally, your surgeon would prefer you to stop altogether and if you are considering this, he/she will be able to help with this.
