What are the risks of buttock lift?

There is always a risk of complications in any form of surgery. Buttock lift surgery is a safe procedure which has been performed numerous times but things can, and do go wrong.

Complications are rare but do happen in a very small minority of cases. These are:

  • Seromas (fluid collection) or haematoma (blood clot under the skin)
  • Scarring
  • Slow wound healing
  • Infection
  • Numbness/Reduced sensation
  • Thrombosis
  • Make need a second or third procedure
