These treatments are effective at controlling the symptoms of varicose veins and preventing their return. Nevertheless, there is a small risk of this recurring within ten years after surgery.

What doctors do advise is for you to make changes to your lifestyle such as losing weight (if you are overweight), taking regular exercise and taking breaks if sat down for long periods of time.
