Q20. Are varicose veins the same as thread veins?

A20. No. Thread veins (or spider veins) are smaller versions of varicose veins that are tiny red or blue capillaries, seen on the surface of the legs and face.

They do affect the skin unlike varicose veins which bulge against the skin causing long term damage.

If you want to know more about thread veins why not visit our accompanying complete guide to thread veins.

This guide is produced in the same easy to understand and informative manner and contains lots of useful information about thread veins.
