Q8. Do I have to pay anything if I lose my case for compensation?

A8. You would normally be liable for costs and expenses for the winning side plus your own lawyer or solicitor’s fees.

However you are advised to take out insurance to protect you against the risk of this.

A compensation case is by no means guaranteed and there is always a risk that you might lose your case. This insurance acts as a safeguard against this and ensures that you are not out of pocket as a result.

This is the important aspect of the no win no fee system.
